Over the past few weeks the Furniture Crate’s team members had a chance to give back to our community.
Three weekends ago we volunteer at the HOPE Hospitality and Warming Center in Pontiac Michigan (@Hopecenter). Hope provides clothing, food, blankets, and a warm place to stay for the less fortunate. Hope also provides service that helps its guest find a more permanent place to stay. Our team members had a chance to pass out blankets and toiletries and serve the guest dinner. Throughout the night we had a chance to talk to several guest at Hope.
For the last two weekends ago we had a chance to take part in MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Walk 2010 in Ann Arbor and in Detroit. Unfortunately we weren’t able to walk due to the cold and rainy weather on both weekends. Even though the walks didn’t happen the events were still a huge success with all the money raised for such a great cause. For me (Bobby) I have a cousin that has been diagnosed with MS and ever since my family has been very active with the MS Society. When I started working at Furniture Crate I was happy to see that other members of the Furniture Crate family were also active in the MS Society.
